Items?

The M.U.G.E.N. game engine isn't really made for items. Although it might be possible with the right amount of work, it would be too hard, would not be customizable, very limited, and would not go along with the Fire Emblem-part of the game.

No, there are no items in this game. But I'll laugh to anybody who comes thinking there are items and gets fooled...
